The country’s growing appeal as a top MICE hub stems from its streamlined visa process, which allows nationals of every country to obtain a visa on arrival, and its excellent connectivity. RwandAir, the national carrier, offers numerous flight options linking Kigali to the rest of Africa and beyond, making Rwanda easily accessible to international visitors.

On Friday, February 21, 2025, American singer, songwriter, and pianist John Legend delivered a show-stopping performance at BK Arena in Kigali. The event was part of the second edition of Global Citizen’s Move Afrika, a touring circuit that brings global superstars to the continent. Marking his first ever performance in East Africa, Legend ensured it was a memorable night for all in attendance.

The following Sunday, the 2025 Tour du Rwanda began, spanning all four provinces of Rwanda and the City of Kigali from February 23 to March 2. Known for its challenging mountainous routes, this prestigious race continues to rise in prominence as one of Africa’s most demanding and exhilarating cycling events.

The tour was officially launched at BK Arena by His Excellency President Paul Kagame and International Cycling Union President David Lappartient in attendance. This year’s competition features 14 teams and 69 riders, all eager to navigate Rwanda’s stunning landscapes.

On the other hand, the second edition of the Inclusive FinTech Forum (IFF) started yesterday in Kigali, a three-day event is poised to showcase Kigali International Financial Center’s mandate and position Rwanda as the fast-growing hub for FinTech opportunities and the home of Africa’s FinTech. This second IFF follows the inaugural one held in 2023 in Kigali.
